Here’s a guide to making a box lid by assembling pieces.
You can make a box simply by combining four pieces folded in the same way.
You’ll want to make lots of these tiny boxes that fit right in the palm of your hand.
Since the lid is shaped like a flower, you can give it as a gift just as it is—no ribbon needed.

Folding Instructions
Here, we are using four 7.5 cm × 7.5 cm sheets of origami paper.
First, make the box lid, and then make the box bottom.
Make the box lid parts
First, fold it in half and mark the center.
Then, fold the left and top corners toward the center.
Fold the top corner back.
Fold it in half.
Fold it again along the crease.
Unfold the crease.
Align the corners marked with red circles and fold.
Turn it over.
Then fold it so that the corners marked with red circles meet.
Next, flip it over again and form the corners as you open it up.
Now the piece is ready.
Shape it like this.
Choose your favorite color, then fold it three more times.
Assemble the box lid components
Now that you’ve folded it into quarters, let’s connect the pieces.
Here, look at the corner indicated by the white arrow.
Insert the flat side indicated by the red arrow into this corner.
First, insert the light blue flat piece into the pink corner.
Make sure it goes all the way in.
This is the third piece.
Place the flat pink piece into the light blue corner.
Next, here’s the fourth piece.
Insert the light blue flat piece into the pink corner.
Finally, connect the first and fourth parts.
Be careful not to knock them over as you connect them.。
All that’s left is to shape it, and it’s done.
