Here’s a guide on how to fold a rectangular box.
Boxes come in various shapes, such as squares and pentagons, but this time I decided to try making a rectangular one.
I’ve tweaked the folding method slightly to create both the main body of the box and the lid.
It’s a very practical box.

How to Fold the Main Box
I used origami paper that is red on the front and white on the back.
The difference between the main body and the lid is that the inside of the main body is red.
On the other hand, the outside of the lid is red.

First, let’s look at how to fold the main body.
Start by making a crease down the center, then use that as a guide to fold both sides.

Next, fold both sides in half again, then open them up.
Then, fold both sides along the first fold line (1/8 of the way).

Fold both sides again.
Then flip it over.

There are three creases, but fold along the right crease.
Then fold along the left crease.

Once you’ve made the fold, gently open it

Insert it into the gap.

A white triangle will appear.
Insert the triangle into the gap.
Fold the other side in the same way.

yurariThis will result in a sturdy box.

Once you’ve folded the other side, pull it as shown by the arrow to form a box shape.

Now you have the main body with a red interior.

Next, here’s how to make the lid.
